I hunted the morning in the same area where I saw deer last night. Didn’t see anything.
In the afternoon my family went to another spot to hunt that has no fields–just lots of woods. We figured that way the deer would not all be hiding in the corn. I talked to a couple of guys there who said they were seeing deer. One said his buddy saw 15 and the other said he saw 10 total for the day. We saw two when we put on a drive. They were too far ahead of the drivers to shoot and they ran up the hill unlike deer in that spot normally do. So, they managed to stay away from the watchers as well.
For the evening we went back home to watch the corn fields again. I saw a Grey Fox out in the field, but nothing else. My Father saw quite a few deer come out of the corn about 20 minutes before quitting time. He was not able to shoot at any, because they were on a sky line.
